(Also, Madewell is nothing to be ashamed of!) I would go in, and just very sweetly tell the salesperson that you are trying to put money into your first Chanel bag. They will most probably be really excited to help you out and share their expertise. If you are in your twenties and might afford it, good for you and positively do it, but I definitely couldn’t afford a bag like that till I was into my thirties.
